Mecca Gecko is free to download and play. All four maps and every game mode are included. Gecko, Marshmallow and five emotes are free. Optional purchases are billed by Apple at the localized price shown in the app.

Characters and emotes

The shop has 32 optional characters (20 hiders and 12 seekers, excluding free Gecko and Marshmallow) and 6 optional emotes: Clapping, Wave, Face Palm, Chicken, Dance and Backflip. Characters are bought directly. Emotes can be bought directly or unlocked with diamonds. See the whole cast on the homepage.

Characters and emotes purchased directly through Apple are permanent non-consumable purchases. Use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account after reinstalling or changing devices.

Diamonds

Diamond packs are consumable purchases: Pouch (100), Jar (550), Chest (1,200), Vault (2,600) and Hoard (7,000). Diamonds can be spent in the in-game shop on emotes and single-use powerups. Powerups apply in Bot Play and Red vs Blue, not classic online rounds. Rounds using powerups are excluded from public Game Center scoring.

Diamond costs as shown in the current game; the in-app shop is always the final word.

Diamond balances and items acquired with diamonds are stored on the device. Consumable packs cannot be restored from Apple after reinstalling or moving to another device. Review the in-app item description before buying.

No map upgrade or subscription

The former map Upgrade is not offered by the current game. You do not need to buy a map pass or subscription to play any map. There are no third-party ads.

Restore

Apple’s purchase restoration guide

New phone? Same Apple ID? Use Settings → General → Restore Purchases for eligible Apple-purchased characters and emotes. Diamond packs and items bought with diamonds are not restored by Apple. Still missing? Support.
