Terms of Use

These terms are between you and Solution Sidekick LLC for the Mecca Gecko app and meccagecko.com. If you do not agree, do not use the app or site.

1. The game

Mecca Gecko is a party hide-and-seek game. The download is free. Optional Upgrade is a one-time in-app purchase of US $5.99 (or local equivalent Apple sets) that unlocks extra maps and features. It is not a subscription. Apple’s Media Services Terms also apply to anything you buy through the App Store.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to play the app on Apple devices you own or control, via the App Store. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or cheat in a way that harms other players.

3. Fair play

No paid advantage in spotting, hiding strength, or seeker power. Cosmetics and maps are for variety, not pay-to-win. Don’t harass people in voice or names. We may kick or ban people who wreck the party.

4. Your paint & names

You keep whatever rights you have in the silly names and paint jobs you create. You give us a license to show them to other players in your match. Don’t paint or name anything illegal or that you don’t have the right to use.

5. Multiplayer

Matches are typically peer-to-peer. The host’s device is the authority for that match. Connection quality depends on your network. We are not liable for a cousin’s terrible Wi‑Fi.

6. Refunds

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Start at reportaproblem.apple.com or your purchase history.

7. Disclaimer

The app and site are provided “as is.” Entertainment software. We disclaim implied warranties to the fullest extent the law allows. Our liability for any claim related to the app or site is limited to the amount you paid us for Upgrade in the 12 months before the claim (often $5.99), except where the law says we cannot limit liability (including for fraud or personal injury).

8. Kids

The fantasy is kid-safe (marshmallows, toy blasters). The app is not enrolled in Apple’s Kids Category. Parents should decide if it is right for their household. Voice chat, if enabled, is a real microphone.

9. Changes

We may update the game and these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date.
